Congratulations Jane Mykleby!

Thank you for your wonderful recipe submissions. I have several but am in need for lots more. Think in terms of easy and fast to put together while preparing for an event. You know ... those recipes that we all love ... but taste and look like we've been prepping for the day!

As I received your recipes I assigned you each a number. Then just a few moments ago, I went over to my 87 year old mother and asked her to give me a number. The winner is Jane Mykleby from Collierville, TN, near Memphis! Horray ... Collierville is my old stompin' grounds where I served as a missionary for my church back in the early 70's! Anyway ... back to Jane ... cuz this is all about Jane, not me! Jane is married and has a family of two high school boys and a dog she adores. She has been rubberstmaping for as long as she can remember. She got her first stamp (her name) when she went on a field trip to the newspaper in elementary school. She also likes to scrapbook, read, make jewelry, and paint. People thinks she's really creative but she says she's not... just easily inspired by others! (I'm like Jane too!)

Anyway, Jane receives a free pass to the U Stamp with Dawn and Friends. Jane, I'll be e-mailing you with the details to obtain your pass.

Thanks to all of you for your wonderful recipes. We still need more! Please encourage your friends to submit their recipes, or feel free to submit more. One cute demo submitted 20 recipes and they all look wonderful! I'm hoping to get the book to press within a month, so keep the recipes a comin'.

Oh ... one more thing. This will make me cry thinkin' about it. A bunch of the Stampin' Up! employees got together and created the most beautiful memory book I've ever seen. Pages of me and them together and stories about our relationship. I'll have to post pics of the pages. You'll love it. I love and miss them soooo much. They have been and still are wonderful to me!

Got to run to the Doctor. There's something wrong with my heel and it's painful to flex my toes. Got to find out that it's nothing serious before my trip to London next week!

Love you all bunches and bunches!!!

Hi Linda ...
Have you been walking barefoot a lot? My heels are always in pain if I am not wearing gym shoes or other shoes that are very supportive. I almost always live in my flip flops which is really not a good thing considering I dislocated & broke my toe really bad while wearing them (tripped on a crack in the sidewalk) and had to have surgery. Anyhow, if your heels hurt it could be plantar fasciitis, which is caused by insufficient support in your arches. If the pain is worse when you wake up in the morning, or after you've been off your feet for a while, that's probably it. Hope they feel better soon. Good thing to go to the doctor and have it checked.

Hi, Linda...

Just read your blog--especially about your son leaving for military duty. You will have to share his address on the blog so we can flood him with handmade cards!

I hope all is well with you! You look great. Boy, I sure am going to miss you. But, we have your blog to keep in touch. I hope your interview is successful...keep me posted!

Right now, I have been on a hiatus from work (one I do not wish on anyone). My hubby, Mike, had open heart surgery about two weeks ago. Monday he goes in for an aortic aneurysm surgery. It's a loooooong story, but I have been very busy lately. I am so thankful to God that he made it through the open heart surgery. Now, we just need to get him through this one. Anyway, just wanted to say Hi! to you and let you know you are loved and missed.

Hey Linda,
I dont know exactly to put this, so i decided to place it here :)

I met you several years back at my first, and only SU! convention. You were, and still are amazing! You have such great talents as a creative person, they are endless! I admire that you have the ability to channel them into all facets of your life.

I have one question/concern. I was a demo for 2 years and life took a different turn and I had to quit. (actually, my basement flooded and ruined everything in it including heirlooms, SU! stuff, keepsakes, and our media room)
Thankfully, I have recoverd from that horrific event!

My question is though I am no longer a demo, I too lead a very hectic life with 2 kids, a dog, and a husband. Recipes are great to share, even if your not a demo:)
Have you thought of including those of us who would love to participate, but are no longer in the SU! family of demos?

Thank you for your time in reading this. And letting us into a window of your wonderful life!

If you would like to have a friend along this journey, email me at monica@addalittledazzle.com I also have recipes I can share with you that are easy and healthy for gastric bypass patients. I am thinking about submitting the healthy recipes that are good for all but yet tasty. Please email me or visit my blog at www.addalittledazzle.com

Thank you Linda! I am excited and I never win anything. I hope you don't have what I have which is a heel spur and planters facititis. It is painful and would not work out well for London. Have a wonderful trip, traveling mercies, and thank you again.
