Enjoying the ocean!

Trying out the new Big Shot sand castle kit. Look how cute!
This is Jennifer Thompson, the gal who made our site-seeing tour possible, as well as putting together the beautiful evening. The Popester is on my right and Lola is next to her. These are two wonderful gals that I get to work with on a daily basis. I love them all!
This was a really fun demonstration done by Kim, the gal in the red shirt, and another demonstrator is hiding behind her back and poking her arms through the sleeves of Kim's shirt. It was really cute and we had some good laughs!
My not so great attempt at lei making. I think I'll keep my day job!
I loved watching Sterling and Shelli (the owner of Stampin' Up!) with each other. You can certainly tell they are sooo much in love with each other. The way they both look at each other is priceless! Sterling talked more that evening than I've ever heard him talk before. And, he's an awful lot of fun. He really had us laughing while telling us of his experience going to the airport.
The prettiest girl doing the prettiest hula I've ever seen in my life! She's amazing ... Christina Valentine!

Here we are in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii!
We finally made it after a 3 hour delay in Salt Lake. Luckily the rest of my traveling companions were at the Salt Lake airport and told me to jump in the car and get to the airport by 2:00 cuz we could possibly take off at 3:00. By the time I got there, we were boarding! Perfect timing!
Jennifer Thompson and her downline gave us a wonderful hawaiian greeting with beautiful ribbon and fresh flower leis and a beautiful stamped name badge. We had a getting to know you ice breaker, Make & Takes, and wonderful Hawaiian cuisine that everyone had contributed.
We learned how to do the hula. Well actually, I tried but failed miserably, but had a wonderful time!
We also learned how to make a lei out of tea leaves. I failed miserably at that too! Thankfully Connie was able to correct my mistakes!
Wow ... here it is Thursday afternoon. My 12:00 flight to Honolulu was delayed and we're not sure what time we'll get out of here. It will be late when we arrive there. It's a 7 hour flight from here. I'm excited and have been packed and ready to go since 9:00 this morning. I awoke at 5:00 even though my flight wasn't until noon. I like to make sure I have everything and the house is picked up before I leave for town. Because of the delay I now have the oil changed in the van, picked up groceries for Mom and Dad and Lynn, put away the dishes in the dishwasher, have a nice spaghetti sauce simmering in the crock pot, stamped a thank-you card for a demonstrator in Hawaii, and I still have a little time before I need to leave for the airport.

Oh what a wonderful weekend with the kids from Oregon. Sarah has grown so tall and looks so much like Natalie, it's crazy. Little Abby is adorable. She was sick Sunday and Monday but still had a smile between her throwups. And that Kate ... what a ham! She can really make us all laugh! And of course Natalie is still as beautiful as ever! And cute Neal. Geez I miss them. I cried after they left. Wish they lived close by, or had lots of money to fly over every couple of weeks!

Mom had a really good day yesterday. She could breathe much better. It must be the air quality. It's a really pretty sunny day today. She seemed to be doing well this morning while waiting for the bath lady. Dad's enjoying his puzzles again. I asked him if he wanted to go to Harmons with me this morning but he opted out. He said that he enjoys staying home, reading, and working on his crossword puzzles and jigsaws!

Well ... until Monday. ALOHA~!
I've been slothful lately with my blog.

Life is great! Mom has had a couple of really good weeks. She said yesterday that on a scale of 1 to 10, yesterday was a 9 1/2! That's terrific. She looks great and seems very happy. She can raise her arm now without any pain. Her nurse has scheduled her for a massage anytime she wants. How would that be? Can you imagine Mom actually looking forward to a massage. She vowed a few years ago that she could never have something like that done to her body!

Daily Dad says, "Boy have I ever gotten my money out of that dog!" Hmmm ... I don't recall him ever paying for Dieter boy. :) They sure love Dieter. Dad comes over to the house during the day and gets him at least twice. I bring him over each evening to say goodnight. They play and love him. I'll have to post a picture of Mom getting him to dance one of these days. It takes a long time to download a video clip on this program.

I woke up around 3:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. I'm fine ... just had some really good sleep and thought it was time to get up so I did. It will be a long day today. I have a regional script and power point to finish today as well as testing some new stencils on a wall. I love stenciling and Stampin' Up! stencils are to die for!

We found a really good deal for a trip to Australia. Lynn and his partner have been looking for vacation spots to spend a little of their business money. Perhaps the four of us will be going to Sydney some time this year. Lynn's always wanted to go there. It was a fun trip both times I've been with Stampin' Up!

Nat and Neal and the girls are coming tomorrow! Neal's grandmother isn't expected to live much longer. It's sad. She's such a neat lady and will really be missed! But on the brighter side it will be so fun to have them for the weekend. They have to leave to go back to Oregon on Monday. BOOOO!

I'm thinking we'll have soups for Sunday dinner. Each family can bring their favorite soup. I'll bring clam chowdah! Lindsey ... since you were bragging about your rolls ... why don't you bring rolls and your recipe? You won't have to bring a soup if you bring rolls. Ang doesn't get out of church until 4:00 so dinner won't be until they get here. Everyone else is welcome to come earlier. We're home by noon.

Oh ... watch Channel 14, KJZZ tomorrow morning around 10:ish ... I'll be showing some great packaging ideas for Stampin' Up!

Happy Thursday!
