So ... get out your Book of Mormon and read Helaman 13 - 16, "Repent and Return unto the Lord. I've read it. Now it's up to you! We'll discuss what we've read and how we feel.

It's a great day!
Back to what I was thinking ...

I got to teach my first lesson in RS sunday, since being called as the Ward Relief Society President. I based my lesson from President Eyring's Conference address, O, Remember, Remember. At the beginning of the lesson I posed the question, "Think about your day, yesterday, Saturday. How did you see the hand of God in your life or the lives of those around you, yesterday?" I then told them to be thinking about that question throughout the lesson. At the end of the lesson, if time permits, we would have sharing time regarding that question. Well, I was very surprised that at the conclusion of the lesson we still had about 25 minutes left. I was getting a little nervous, thinking that perhaps the Sisters wouldn't share. I passed the microphone out into the audience and the Sisters began talking. It was wonderful! There was such a strong spirit in the room. We probably had at least 10 sisters share.

At the conclusion of the lesson, I challenged them, per President Eyring, to find a way to preserve those daily memories of how they saw the hand of God in their lives and share them. I've written in my little notebook each night how I've experienced the hand of God in my life that day. I haven't missed a night.

So ... you may be thinking ... how did you see the hand of God in your life today, Mom? I'll tell you. I have some stamping projects that I've been working on. The deadline is Monday. I prayed that the Lord would help me come up with a cute project and that I would be able to accomplish it easily. When I got into work this morning, I went into the art room, sat down at the table and Selma came into the room. I asked her if she had any cute ideas for some projects. We started brainstorming and before too long an idea came to me for a cute Halloween treat bag. Within a short while I had the bag completed. While working on the project, it came into my mind, that the Lord was indeed answering my prayers! By the way ... the treat bag really is cute and quite clever, I do have to admit. Thanks to the Lord!

And of course, the Lord is always blessing my Mom and Dad daily! Mom would like to attend Grandma Carlson's funeral on Saturday, if I can get enough oxygen tanks delivered. And, she's going to let me cut and fix her hair tomorrow so she can go to the High Priest Party. Oh ... the S'U! Premes are singing for the entertainment. But, Dad doesn't want me to wear my wig. What's your vote?
So ... I was really sleepy and went to bed around 10:00 p.m. ... slept for about 30 minutes and woke up. Now, I can't sleep. I finally got up and put a hostess packet together for an upcoming workshop.

I decided to work on my blog. I still can't figure out how to change the title colors at the top of the blog. It looks disgusting!

I've enjoyed catching up on the kid's blogs, looking at all the photos posted, and catching up with my niece's blogs.

The General Board has advised us to hold off on the blog for now. I think they may have something in the works. The ward website is pretty good and we can update our calendar on that, as well as post ward news. It's just not as fun as being able to post comments and etc.
