Finally .... Pictures!!!

Here I am --- the evening before my surgery! Looking back I really didn't think I was that heavy. Boy was I wearing Rose colored glasses!

Have I ever worn a belt in my entire life? NO! I had no waist and had NO problem holding up my pants! But now ... I can wear blouses tucked in and cute belts. Oh so fun!

Got to admit ... Ross is my best friend. It's a discounted clothing store and I LOVE it. Especially the prices. While losing weight so fast you don't want to spend a lot of money on clothes that you will only be wearing for a few weeks.
As promised ... and finally .... pictures of Stampin' Palooza in Toronto, Canada with Caroline LeBel. This was another one of her fabulous events. Oh so fun!
Some of the gang. And take a look at those cute Olympic mittens. Talk about team spirit!

Check out the name badges. Contest for the best ones and a darling parade to boot!

My good friend Donna Henley and my new friend ... oops forgot your name ... but you are an awesome graphic designer and stamper and you speak French! See ... my memory isn't shot yet.

Carolin LeBel --- the fantastic party planner!

Dina Anker --- my tour guide, friend, buddy, awesome stamper, and great Canadian nails.

Blair Moc showing us how to make darling Easter baskets.
Lesley Poper -- showed us the most amazing cloth projects using the Big Shot!
Chanda McLean taught us how to make paper flowers ... all kinds!

Of course there's Big Shot Brent. He showed us how to cut vinyl and apply it to an umbrella to give it that customized look!

Christyne Richardson taught us how to do the Herringbone Technique.

Michelle, me, and Dina. Michelle was my darling tour guide 4 months ago! Love Yah!!!

Michelle Sturgeon showed us creative ways of using all of those scraps of left-over paper. She's amazing!
Me and some of the gang!

Well ... life IS amazing. There's never a dull moment. I'm busily getting ready for my wedding of my youngest son, Reese. We were licking, stuffing, addressing, and labeling wedding invites last night until 12:30 a.m. But it was kinda, sorta fun, especially watching the big daddy stuffing the invites and the mama telling him to not put the invitation in the envelope upside down. And his rebuttal was, of course, "Who cares?" Well, I care and I know the bride cares and he had to be told to put the labels on straight too. They couldn't be crooked!

Say ... I have a couple of demo friends who are thinking about having a big 'To Do' on the free night at Convention in July. I'm thinking about hosting a dinner, shoe box swap and some fun things to do. If you're interested and would like to attend, please comment and say, "Count me in!" Spread the word and post this on your blogs, website and 'what not' so I know what sort of venue to secure for our event.

On a sad note. I just received word that my nephew's house burned down. He lives in Silverton, Oregon and they were able to get out, but two of their cats died. There's 7 of them in their family and they have no place to live right now and only have the clothing on their backs. Thanks to family members they are getting by. Just remember them in your prayers, please.

I'll post my speaking schedule on the sidebar of my blog, if I can figure out how to do it.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Love and Kisses! -- Lou

Now I know where I get my "Who cares!" attitude from: DAD!! When I was stuffing and licking and labeling mine, I did the same thing. I'd stamp our return address on one and it'd be kind of faint so I'd stamp it again, only crooked and not at all lined up with the faint one, and I didn't care!!!! And I WAS the bride!!

You're funny and I love your sassy, sassy, sassafrass outfit.

Maybe another time. You look so happy in your new body...I dream of that someday for me. Much love to you and yours, Congrats on the upcoming wedding, and I'll pray for the extended family. Love you! Linda - there was much more of you to hug before and I suppose now we get to get closer to your heart when we hug you but you are a beautiful person before and after! You are STUNNING NOW - coming from a woman - that's a fab. compliment I suppose!

You are a wonderful mom, grandmother and friend, your grandkidlets are lucky to call you grandma!

Ruby, Michelle, you and I had the same name tag (if you were wondering about names) Ruby one of my downline but has since dropped, Michelle is smokin' as a demo!

Love and hugs from Canada! (eh!)
(PS there's some wonky skin condition happening in my photo! I did have a suntan from a week in Mexico but that photo looks like nothing I know!)

I didn't know Bruce's house burned down, and I live 20 minutes away! That's sad!

So, when I'm in town, I want to borrow one of your fancy belts and I have a matching white shirt and jeans. We can be twins!

Can't wait to see you! And Dad totally doesn't surprise me. You should have put him on "bring to the post office" duty. Not assembling duty. He sucks:)

I'd love to attend a big "to do" at convention, and I'll be with at least 2 other demo friends whom I am sure would love to also!

Count me in!!! on the shoebox swap! Linda, you look fabulous! And your comment about the rose-colored glasses I think indicates that everyone who has a weight problem has a "thin" person inside and they don't see the actuallity of what they really look like. And of course you always dressed so fabulously that the weight was covered up beautifully. I am so anxious to see you next month at Tara's! And look at all of the speaking engagements you have lined up! I wish that I could come to all of them.

Linda, you look fabulous!!!! I wish that I could find a way to make that happen for me. "Unfortunately" I am not big enough to get any procedures done, but am only 5'1" so I really feel like no one understand how an extra 50-60 pounds looks on someone short. Proportionally I would venture to say that I have as much to lose as someone who is taller and is able to get a procedure done to help change their lifestyle. As you've gone down, I've gone up. My life has been stressful and lonely (my hubby is in the AF and is gone ALL of the time), but I am trying to get motivated again so that I can be happy again. Seeing fantastic people like you, happy and successful in their weight loss is a huge inspiration to me. I am SO happy for you!!!! :)

hugs,
Marie

Wow, what a change in such a short time. I'm about as big as you were when you started, so this blog has been a great inspiration for me. I just don't know if I could be as good as you have been and stick to it so diligently. Needs more thought...
