I've been slothful lately with my blog.
Life is great! Mom has had a couple of really good weeks. She said yesterday that on a scale of 1 to 10, yesterday was a 9 1/2! That's terrific. She looks great and seems very happy. She can raise her arm now without any pain. Her nurse has scheduled her for a massage anytime she wants. How would that be? Can you imagine Mom actually looking forward to a massage. She vowed a few years ago that she could never have something like that done to her body!
Daily Dad says, "Boy have I ever gotten my money out of that dog!" Hmmm ... I don't recall him ever paying for Dieter boy. :) They sure love Dieter. Dad comes over to the house during the day and gets him at least twice. I bring him over each evening to say goodnight. They play and love him. I'll have to post a picture of Mom getting him to dance one of these days. It takes a long time to download a video clip on this program.
I woke up around 3:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. I'm fine ... just had some really good sleep and thought it was time to get up so I did. It will be a long day today. I have a regional script and power point to finish today as well as testing some new stencils on a wall. I love stenciling and Stampin' Up! stencils are to die for!
We found a really good deal for a trip to Australia. Lynn and his partner have been looking for vacation spots to spend a little of their business money. Perhaps the four of us will be going to Sydney some time this year. Lynn's always wanted to go there. It was a fun trip both times I've been with Stampin' Up!
Nat and Neal and the girls are coming tomorrow! Neal's grandmother isn't expected to live much longer. It's sad. She's such a neat lady and will really be missed! But on the brighter side it will be so fun to have them for the weekend. They have to leave to go back to Oregon on Monday. BOOOO!
I'm thinking we'll have soups for Sunday dinner. Each family can bring their favorite soup. I'll bring clam chowdah! Lindsey ... since you were bragging about your rolls ... why don't you bring rolls and your recipe? You won't have to bring a soup if you bring rolls. Ang doesn't get out of church until 4:00 so dinner won't be until they get here. Everyone else is welcome to come earlier. We're home by noon.
Oh ... watch Channel 14, KJZZ tomorrow morning around 10:ish ... I'll be showing some great packaging ideas for Stampin' Up!
Happy Thursday!
Well ... I'm just an ordinary granny with 28 beautiful grandkids, 7 fabulous children, and 1 fantastic husband!
My fantastic husband and I met while both serving missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, in the Gulf States Mission. This mission included Mississippi, Louisiana, part of Tennessee, and most of Arkansas. While in the mission field we were committed to the service of the Lord and of course no dating was involved. But two dates after our missions we were engaged and married two months later. Life has been wonderful with my Lynn!
While raising our 7 children I helped supplement our income by teaching vocal lessons, babysitting, and doing hair, all in the comfort of my home.
I'm currently employed at World Joy, a nonprofit organization improving health and education in the Atiwa District of Ghana, Africa.
Now, we have been called to serve as full time Public Affair Specialists for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Africa South East Area, living in Johannesburg, South Africa for 23 months. We are beyond excited since we will have each other as full-time companions 24/7.
It REALLY is a wonderful life!

Good luck tomorrow, Linda. Funny that I am posting this here when I can peek over my computer and see you! But good luck--we'll be watching!
Crap! I missed you on TV AGAIN!!
Oh well.
I'm glad that Grandma is feeling a bit better. I think she just likes to tease us. I feel bad because I didn't make it up there once this week. Reese is getting 4 new teeth, and has been waking up every 45 minutes screaming. To top it all off, I think that she has a cold as well. Booooo!
Can't wait to see Nat and company.
