Happy Monday Everyone!
It just dawned on me that this is the first time in 36 years that I've been alone, by myself, during the day. I've always had either a husband or children with me. I don't think Dieter counts as a body! It's strange being alone.
It's been a nice 2 1/2 weeks. I feel like I've been on vacation. I'm rested, refreshed, and now ready to go back to work. Well ... maybe after getting my yard in shape and some dining room curtains made. I bought some fabric a few months ago and haven't had the time to sew them up. Now I do!
I'm still waiting to hear about my interview. In the mean time, I do have a little job to do some transcribing and then some voice recordings for the phone system. I've been gone from Franklin Covey for almost 9 years and when you call the Franklin office, you'll still hear my voice.
Had a pretty laid back weekend. It rained or should I say poured all day Saturday, and rained on and off yesterday. If the lawn dries out some I may go mow. I really need to do some weeding too.
Picked up my other two pairs of glasses. You could say that I love glasses as much as I love shoes and purses. I now am the proud owner of 5 pairs of designer glasses. It would have been 6 pair, but my favorite pink ones were in my purse that was stolen. BOOOO! I still have hope that one day a package will show up in the mail and it will be my purse. Wouldn't that be soooo neat?
Well -- best get to work. Make it a great Monday!
Just Another Monday!
Well ... I'm just an ordinary granny with 28 beautiful grandkids, 7 fabulous children, and 1 fantastic husband!
My fantastic husband and I met while both serving missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, in the Gulf States Mission. This mission included Mississippi, Louisiana, part of Tennessee, and most of Arkansas. While in the mission field we were committed to the service of the Lord and of course no dating was involved. But two dates after our missions we were engaged and married two months later. Life has been wonderful with my Lynn!
While raising our 7 children I helped supplement our income by teaching vocal lessons, babysitting, and doing hair, all in the comfort of my home.
I'm currently employed at World Joy, a nonprofit organization improving health and education in the Atiwa District of Ghana, Africa.
Now, we have been called to serve as full time Public Affair Specialists for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Africa South East Area, living in Johannesburg, South Africa for 23 months. We are beyond excited since we will have each other as full-time companions 24/7.
It REALLY is a wonderful life!

Don't give up hope on your purse. I did have mine mailed to me a few years back after it was stolen/lost.

Also, I'll pay you five bucks to record my voicemail message for me. Your voice is much nicer than mine.

Linda -
I just learned and I am saddened to know that you won't be in our Stampin' Up lives anymore. I never met you but enjoyed you more than you'll ever know. I admire your attitude and wish you the best of luck in your job search.

Wow, that's sobering to think that you've never really been alone at home before. Actually, it sounds like HEAVEN! Do everything you wish you could have done when you had a baby on each hip. Because you'll probably be back to working before you know it.
Linda, we need to get together and finsh those socks! I just started another new style and they are bright red and they remind me of you! They are a ray of sunshine.
thinking of you!

If you love glasses - you should check these out! You pick your lense shape and they come with TWO sets of changeable arm/nose pieces - then you can buy additional arms! So you can have a pair to match every outfit or mood!! www.try-change.com
I had to driver over an hour away to get mine - but I LOVE THEM!!
I like that lady's idea - how about you charge everyone $5 to record their outgoing messages on their cellphones - you could make a million dollars in about 5 minutes!!! That rocks.
Anyway - you are so fun. I hope you're enjoying the alone time - I sure as heck enjoy mine. And I'm speaking from experience when I say - don't rush the work thing - when you go back, you'll wish you'd wiggled your toes just a little longer!!
Love ya.
